Beautiful Ring :D …

Everyone has been raving about the “Princess Ring” and how beautiful it is, and how everyone wishes they could have one. It seems like everyone was getting a dupe for the ring. Some looked just exact, some might not have looked so good but... hey it’s an imitation of the ring right. J Every time someone tells my sister and me that they had an exact match to the “Princess Ring” we would just roll our eyes; kind of because it seem like EVERYONE has one.  Well it just so happens that Avon has made a replica of the ring as well… and after a long time of seeing it my sister and I both have one now and we LOVE it. It’s just so beautiful and it makes us feel so “Perrrrtty” ;D.
Why haven’t I been posting blogs very often?
Well I have been quite busy lately with working and things like that. I have also been thinking of different ideas on things I should blog about, and different makeup looks I should post. I am trying my best to get back in the swing of things and hopefully start posting more. :D
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and remember to SMILE!

Favorite Mascara...

SUPER SHOCK is its name and I LOVE IT!!!!

Super Shock is by Avon and it only cost 9.00 (but is usually on sale :D)
Avon says:Get yourself some extreme volume! Thickening base coat and volumizing mascara in one. Up to 12X more volume.”
I say:  ITS ALL TRUE! This mascara is wonderful and the best thing about it you can apply as much as you want and it won’t clump up. Another great fact is that Avon assures us that “ All AVON mascaras are hypoallergenic and opthalmologist-tested.
What is your favorite mascara? I would love to know so I can check it out :D
Have a wonderful day
XOXO,
Alyssa

Mark. Makeup Brushes…

Review:
If I had to rate these brushes from a scale 1-10 I would most definitely give them a 10! I have given the description of each brush and how much they are.  I included that just so you can see how inexpensive they are compared to the higher end, name brand brushes.
Mark. Kabuki Brush $ 7.00 - This specific brush is typically used for mineral powders but can be used with any powder makeup.
Mark. Flat Eyeliner Brush $ 7.00 – This brush is good for drawing a precise line on the eyelid, as well as smudging liners and shadows.
Mark Blending Brush $ 7.00 – This brush is the key to having beautiful eyeshadow use in the crease area to apply and blend eyeshadow excellent in smoothing out the contour.
Mark. Concealer Brush $ 7.00 - Using a brush to apply concealer not only blends the concealer more effectively it helps give more air brushed look.
Mark. Eyeshadow Brush $ 7.00 - A fine brush used to accentuate the crease, or highlight the brow bone.
Mark. Foundation Brush $ 8.00 – This brush is used for applying and blending cream foundation. Feel free to use it to apply liquid foundation as well. An advantage to using this brush is that it does not absorb foundation. Also it helps create an air brushed finish.
Mark. All Over Eyeshadow Brush $ 8.00 – this brush is wonderful and can be used for many things, but typically to sweep color all over the eyelid
Mark. Angled Contour Eyeshadow Brush $ 8.00 – This brush is extra fluffy and is good for shading the crease of the eyelid
Mark. Blush + Bronzer Brush $ 8.00 – This brush is not only wonderful to apply blush or bronzer; it is amazing to apply your foundation with. This brush can also be used as a stippling brush. It also spreads the foundation a little easier.
Mark.  Angled Contour Face Brush $ 10.00 – This is the perfect brush to contour and essential for defining cheeks.
Mark. Powder Brush $10.00 - This is used to dust on loose powder to set foundation, or to dust on bronzing powder. Use it to brush off excess powder too!
I love these brushes so much… With these brushes you are able to use them not only in the ways that I explained, but they can be used many other ways as well. In my next post I will explain each brush and how and where to use them. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and if you have any questions or suggestions just let me know

Homeade Primers...

“Are there other options than going out to buy an eyeshadow primer?”
YES…
If you have cream or liquid eye shadows, pencil shadow sticks, or even if you have your concealer or foundation. Just about anything will work up to a certain extent. These are a few that I have tried and still use every now and then.

1.       When using a cream, shadow sticks, or liquid eyeshadows you want to make sure you are only going to use it as a base, then apply your eyeshadow on top. Remember you might have to apply the eyeshadow quickly because the cream and liquid eyeshadows dry very quick.

2.       Now with the Concealer there are two ways I would suggest. First I would put a little bit of the concealer in a little jar or container, and in the same container put a small amount of your moisturizer. Also remember do not use too much or it will be too oily.  After you mix it together you have now made your own homemade skin tones Eye primer. The second way is a little easier you apply the concealer on your eye lid and apply as normal using a concealer brush or your ring finger. Then put a little dab of moisturizer on each eye lid and in patting motion pat on the eye lid. Then let it dry for a few seconds then apply your eyeshadow. :D

3.       Last way I have tried is use your foundation it’s almost as effective as the concealer method but you have to make sure your foundation isn’t oil base or it won’t hold the eyeshadow like its suppose to.
As with everything I am sure there are lots of other ways to substitute the eyeshadow primer.
Thank you for reading.
Please let me know if you have any ideas on ways to make eyeshadow primer :D
Please comment…

Eyeshadow Primers...

What it does:
Eyeshadow primer is a cosmetic that is used to coat the eyelids prior to the application of eyeshadow so the eyeshadow can be applied in a smooth, even layer and so the eyeshadow will stay in place on the eyelid. Some people find that creases appear in their eyeshadow during the day. These creases are the result of movements of the eyelids such as blinking and normal eye movements. Eyeshadow primer works to keep these creases from appearing and can also help to boost the vibrancy of the eyeshadow color as well as allowing your eyeshadow to stay on longer.
My Opinion:
I have tried lots of different brands and types of eyeshadow primers and I have not had any trouble with any that I have used. Of course the texture, consistency, and feel on the eye lids are all different. I personally believe when choosing a primer it depends on all of those things. Whether you like a light or heavy feeling, thin or thick application, or if you want it skin tone, white, colors, or even if you want it to be clear. It all depends on what you prefer.
These are the ones I have tried…
·         Sephora Perfecting Eye Primer $14.00- Clear
·         Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer Potion $19.00- Original
·         Mark. Please Hold Eye Primer $8.00- Light
·         Avon Anew Youth-Awakening Eyeshadow & Primer Set $12.00
·         E.L.F Essential Eyelid Primer $1.00
·         E.L.F Mineral Eyeshadow Primer $3.00
·         Kat Von D High Voltage Eye Primer $15.00- Stellar

Ones I would love to try…
·         MAC Prep + Prime Eye $16.50
·         NXY Eyeshadow Base $7.00
·         NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base $24.00
·         Too Faced Shadow Insurance $18.00
·         Sephora Eye Primer Pot $8.00
I am so sure there are lots more that I would love to try :D
WOW! Did you know that there were tons of really good eyeshadow primers out there? I personally did not realize how many there were until I started to write this Blog post :D

Well Thank you for reading, if you have any other suggestions or tips about primers please let me know. Also I will post a blog on other things that can be substituted or even instead of a eyeshadow primer. :D
XOXO

Products Review:

Liquid Liners-
Are you a fan of liquid liners? I am!  and I am always looking for the next best thing in liquid liners. I have tried several liquid liners within the past 2 weeks; to see if there was anything in comparison to the one I have been using for about 4 ½ years now. When looking for liquid liners I am more interested in finding one that is simple to use, easy to apply, has a bold color, and is long wearing. I only went to a few places to see if there were any I thought would be worth trying out. I will be rating the products I have used using a rating scale 1 out of 5 or whatever the case may be, and I will also give my opinion on each product. I will defiantly keep you all posted on any new liquid liners I may find and  try out.

v  Avon Perfect Wear EyeWriter Liquid Eyeliner  (Evening Black) $8.00
Ø  Claims: “Hold the line… with smudge-proof, waterproof color. Smooth, rich color, glides on evenly, last all day.”
** 5 out of 5 - This is my favorite liquid liner of all time I have been using it for a really long time now. This liner has a “normal” and simple packaging. It also has a really good color payoff and it actually does everything that it claims to do it just pure WONDERFUL. I still to this day have not found anything in comparison to this liner.**

v  Mark. On the Edge Hook Up Liquid Liner (Cleo) $6.00
Ø  Claims: “Get a precise long wearing finish with this quick-drying, easy to apply liquid liner.”
** 4 out of 5 - This is a wonderful liner it has a really bold color to it. It does do majority of what it claims, but it is just so small and hard to use EXCEPT if you buy 2 things and hook them up it is wonderful. It’s just the packaging that makes it lose a star.**

v E.L.F Waterproof Eyeliner Pen (Black) $1.00-
Ø   Claims: “Get no smudge with no-budge eyeliner which creates a fabulous and fresh look of precision.”
** 3 out of 5 - This liner has really surprised me for it to only cost a $1.00 I am very impressed with it. I am already running out of product, but for only a buck it is really good.

v Sephora Doe Eyed Felt Eyeliner (Ink Black) $12.00
ØClaims: “A long-lasting eyeliner with precise felt tip to define the eyes in one stroke.”
** 1 out of 5 -  This liner when I first tried it I was great, but when I went to use it  for the second time it was already out of product. $12.00 is kind of a lot of money for a one time use.**
Please let me know if you have a favorite liquid liner I would love to keep trying new ones. Also THANK YOU for reading please follow me for more Reviews, Makeup Looks, Makeup Tips, Hauls, and Much More.
XOXO,
Alyssa

Makeup Tip # 2: Eyeshadow

“Hmmmm… have you ever wondered what is the point of wearing eyeshadow?” Well in my opinion eyeshadow is worn to draw attention to the eyes, to give the eyes more definition, and of course it makes us feel gorgeous :D. However, not all eyeshadow forms are easy to apply, nor do they do any justice for your eyes.
Eyeshadows can be complicated to apply depending on what form you have chosen to use. When choosing eyeshadows you want to try to use colors that best complement not only your skin tone but your personality. No matter what your skin tone is, all that matters is your self confidence. When wearing bright, bold, or neutrals colors on your eyes; you should make sure that your personality shows through in your creation.
Types Eyeshadow:
  • Powders
  • Loose Eyeshadow
  • Pigment Eyeshadow
  • Mineral Eyeshadow
  • Compact Eyeshadows (original) :D
  • Cream Eyeshadow
  • Pencil Eyeshadow
  • Liquids Eyeshadow
** I am sure there are other types these are just the most common ones. **
When applying eyeshadows you should take into consideration about what you are using to apply them with. Most people do not think that it truly matters what you use to apply the shadows with, but it is almost as important as it is to pick out what colors you’re going to use. When choosing the right brushes to use it helps create a beautiful picture on your eyelids. (Not literally) :D

Types of Brushes:
  •  All over the eye Brush
  •  Crease Brush
  •  Blending Brush
  •  Highlighting Brush
In my own personal opinion I feel to create a more defined, beautiful, and clean look these are the brushes to use.
Thank you for reading if you have any questions please ask :D I will be glad to help in any way possible. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.
XOXO

OMG! I MET A STILA PRO MAKEUP ARTIST...

Ok! so yesterday my sister and I had the honor of going to the V.I.B event at Sephora, which was very exciting. Well while my sister was talking to this “man”, who she thought was just an ordinary salesman, about black eyeliner; I was staring at him with wide eyes, smiling as big as I possibly could, and even giggling. I was wondering WOW! Does my sister know who she is talking to? And when I found out that she didn’t I was like OMG! I looked and her and was like did you know that was/is “Charles Miller” one of Stila Cosmetics greatest Pro Makeup Artist in the nation and he is also the account executive for Stila Cosmetics. I so wanted to be like “can I take a picture with you or can I talk to you about lots of makeup stuff!” :D I was completely shocked and so surprised how sweet, funny, and actually interested in what my sister and I had to say. This is officially one of the most memorable things that has happen to me so far this year.  Now after all of the excitement that I had from meeting Mr. Miller, my sister and I bought a few items and I will review them soon who knows you might see them in upcoming makeup looks.
Thanks for reading

Yay! My Birthday Finally "21"

HEY! HOLA! ALOHA! How is everyone’s day? Mine is going very well; this morning when I woke up and went down stairs my mom had already fixed “my birthday table” and it was fixed up with Paul Frank stuff (Yay monkey stuff) lol. Then when I got to work my co-workers   (:-D) bought me flowers, lots of balloons, and a personal cake (yummy). I am extremely blessed to have such a wonderful family. I love them so much they are awesome and very caring.

Makeup:
On my eyes I started with urban decay primer potion then used a Yellow/gold color from L.A color palette called Wildflowers all over my eye lid. Then used Nylon from Mac for my brow bone, then a hot very hot Pink in Star powder from Makeup forever (<3 this brand) for my lower lash line. Using this hot pink made my look come together and not seem so dull. Lastly I used my favorite liquid liner from Avon and lined my upper lash line and winged it like I always do J then I applied mascara. On my lips I used bronze treasure from Avon it’s a beautiful color it goes with lots of beautiful looks and it an easy “go to” color.
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!
XOXO
